Background & Perspective
My schooling background in originates from an active & competitive band program in Tampa, where I had the opportunity to perform in successful marching, concert, & jazz bands.
Along with a perserverant large ensemble program that pushes students to improve their musicianship, I intend to empower my future students to pursue opportunities in small ensemble music, and perform the music that they are passionate about.
Instrument Pedagogy
My undergraduate education placed futher emphasis on saxophone performance & pedagogy, and I continue to use many of the lessons learned during those years in my own teaching. Above all else, creating optimal charactistic sounds and developing a student’s intrinsic motivation are at the top of my musical priorities.
I have worked with varying curriculums, and am able & wanting to adapt to the school’s curriculum that hires me as a band director.
